The family Pomacentridae is one of the largest families of reef fishes. There are
more than 330 species, most of which inhabit tropical reef environments. They can be
found in a wide array of habitats, from tidal creeks to deep fore reef slopes. These fishes
are ubiquitous in the coral reef biome. Some of them are unrivaled in
chromatic splendor.
In this Coral Realm Pictorial Profile we will
look at one such group - the genus Chrysiptera.
