The angelfishes are sought after by photographers, fish-watchers and aquarists alike. There is no wonder. They're some of the most beautiful fishes in the world's oceans. Every diver is familiar with the queen and emperor angels, members of the genera Holacanthusand Pomacanthus respectively. But, fewer are familiar with members of the genus Chaetodontoplus.

In this CoralRealm Featured Genus we will take a closer look at this group of beautiful angelfishes. Our coverage includes a plethora of photos showing both common and rare members of this group, as well as links to the species profiles of the Chaetodontoplus spp we have in our fish encyclopedia.
