If you have ever spent much time in the western Pacific, you have probably encountered a lionfish.
I would argue, that there are few reef
fishes that are as spectacular as some of larger members of this subfamily. The dramatic color
pattern and elaborate finnage of certain lionfishes have seduced many photographers into shooting
roll after roll of film! I know that although I already have hundreds of lionfish photos, I still
stop and shoot a couple frames everytime I see one.
