Many Caribbean or Florida divers will never forget their first encounter with a yellowhead jawfish. Their beautiful pastel blue color, bug-eyes, big mouths and interesting burrow-dwelling and reproductive habits make them a fish that the neophyte fish-watcher is not likely to forget. They are also quite common in much of the tropical western Atlantic.
In this article, we'll take a closer look at this marvelous fish. Hopefully, when you're done reading this Coral Realm Feature Article you'll have a greater appreciation of these common sand-dwellers.
