Slatimanus
The cephalopods are some of the most engaging animals in the ocean. They are diverse in form, have highly developed sensory systems, and look and behave as though they have a higher degree of intelligence then most other marine organisms. They have also been the subjects of human myth and fantasy. You know -- monstrous octopuses clutching divers with their long tentacles and yanking them into their dens and giant squids attacking and dragging seagoing vessels into the briny blue. In the case of cephalopods, the facts are even more sensational than fiction!
