The tepid waters of Milne Bay, Papua New Guinea are well known for the rare and unusual critters that it often yields to the observant diver. Its reef fish communities are also some of the richest in the world. But, Milne Bay is also a great place for those that love stony corals. Some of the most interesting and beautiful corals in coastal habitats are the large-polyped stony corals.

In the gallery below we will introduce you to some of the large-polyped stony corals that inhabit a low profile patch reef at Waka Waka, a dive site in Milne Bay.
