The golden hammerhead is one the most unique members of the family. This resident of the northeastern coast of South America is bright orange or yellow in color as a result of its diet - shrimp and catfish eggs. Pigments in these food items are apparently assimilated in the skin resulting in this species unique chromatic attire.
