Costa Rica ..Side Trip to Cocos Island
On a recent dive trip to Cocos Island we took time to explore the mainland country of Costa Rica. For a week during the month of October my wife and I traveled through the country by rental jeep exploring its natural beauty and wildlife. The pictures on this page are just a small sampling of the many things we saw during our 8 day vist. Our route of travel took us from San Jose to Naranjo, Zarcero, Quesada, Arenal, Tilaran, Monteverde, Orotina, Punta Leona, Quepos and back to San Jose. Some of the highlights of our trip include the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge, Arenal Volcano, Monteverde Cloud Forrest Preserve, Punta Leona Private Reserve, Granada Mountains and Manuel Antonio National Park.
